As the year 2023 wrapped up, the French Android market for food delivery services saw interesting trends in user engagement and app downloads. Data provided by Sensor Tower offers a glimpse into the performance of the top contenders in this competitive space.

Too Good To Go: End Food Waste, the app combatting food waste, experienced fluctuating download numbers in Q4, with a peak at 32K in late October and a low of 16K in mid-December. The weekly active users started strong at 960K in the last week of September, reaching over 1M in mid-October, before gradually declining to end at 646K by Christmas week.

Uber Eats: Food Delivery also saw its downloads fluctuate, peaking at 23K in the first week of October and again in the last week of December. The app's weekly active users remained relatively stable, hovering around 750K for most of the quarter, with a noticeable dip to 560K during the last week of the year.

Jow - easy recipes & groceries, unique for pairing recipes with grocery delivery, began Q4 with 20K downloads and ended with a spike to 19K in the Christmas week. The app's weekly active users peaked early at 166K in the first week of October, then followed a downward trend to just under 100K by the end of December.

Deliveroo: Food Delivery UK downloads showed a mid-quarter surge, jumping from 11K to 17K in late November. Weekly active users for Deliveroo peaked at 283K in late November, ultimately falling to 185K by year-end.

Lastly, Vivino: Buy the Right Wine stood out with its revenue earning trend, starting modestly at $149 in late September and soaring to over $1K in the festive week of December. Downloads for Vivino mirrored this positive trend, doubling from 5K in late September to over 21K by Christmas. The weekly active users showed a significant year-end boost, from 68K to 148K in the same period.
